Attendance to the Calibration and Retooling Activity for QMS Secretariat and Streamlining Focal Persons

A two-day Calibration and Retooling Activity for QMS Secretariat and Streamlining Focal Persons was held last November 26-27, 2024, in Quezon City, Metro Manila, which was attended by Atty. Jane S. Torreon, Regional Legal Officer and QMS Secretariat Head and Hannah Artieda, the Streamlining Focal Person. The event commenced with an Opening Remarks from Mr. Romar B. Panganiban, Chief of the Management Division of the DILG Central Office - Financial Management Service, who emphasized the significant role of effective QMS implementation in enhancing government service delivery.

For Day 1, the discussion focused on QMS Funding, the System Procedures on Client Satisfaction and Process Performance Monitoring and Measurement, and clarifications on the responsibilities of the QMS Secretariat and Streamlining Focal Persons. For Day 2, topics covered include QMS Assessments, the System Procedure on Control of Documented Information, the Electronic Client Satisfaction Measurement (e-CSM) System, the Ease of Doing Business Act (RA 11032), and updates on the Status of Corrective Action Plans. The sessions were facilitated by the Central Office QMS Secretariat Team, with each session offering valuable insights and practical guidance. The event concluded with an open forum, allowing participants to raise inquiries and share feedback on the topics discussed.

The CO QMS Secretariat expressed appreciation for the active participation of attendees, acknowledging their vital role in improving the QMS framework and streamlining initiatives across agencies. This activity contributed to aligning practices, ensuring consistent quality management, fostering collaboration among focal persons, and reinforcing the importance of adhering to ISO 9001:2015 standards to drive efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement in government services.
