DILG XII Achieves Top Marks in Drug-Free Workplace Program Assessment

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office XII (DILG XII) demonstrated its commitment to maintaining a drug-free environment through its participation in the Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) Assessment, held on October 11, 2024, at the DILG Regional Office in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

The assessment, a significant initiative aimed at ensuring a safe, healthy, and productive workplace, was conducted by the Regional Assessment Team composed of DILG XII, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region XII (PDEA XII), which acted as Vice Chairperson, Philippine National Police (PNP) Office, XII and the National Police Commission Region XII (NAPOLCOM XII). These agencies collaboratively ensured a thorough and impartial assessment.

Each member of the assessment team was tasked with specific responsibilities, focusing on evaluating the Means of Verifications (MOVs) presented by DILG XII. These included policies on drug use prevention, employee awareness and education programs, regular drug testing protocols, intervention and rehabilitation procedures, and the overall institutional commitment to a drug-free workplace.

As a result, DILG XII achieved an exemplary perfect score of 105 points. This perfect score reflects the organization's proactive stance in fostering a workplace environment, free from the influence of illegal drugs crucial to maintaining employee welfare and operational efficiency.

DILG XII’s recognition further strengthens its role in promoting good governance, transparency, and public service. This achievement is expected to inspire similar efforts across other government offices in Region 12, contributing to the overall goal of a drug-free government sector and a safer community.
