In compliance to Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2018-01, a 3-day Training-Workshop and Coaching on Streamlining Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy for LGUs was conducted and facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII – Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) together with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Building Official of General Santos City and the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), held at the Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City on October 26-28, 2018. The activity aimed at capacitating the target LGUs in the adoption of the aforementioned Joint Memorandum Circular.
In his opening message, RD Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV commended the participants for their willingness to learn coupled with their desire to help their community, and the partner-agencies for their support in giving service to the nation. He thanked everyone for making the conduct of the activity possible and successful.
Moreover, RD Bungubung gave an overview of the 3-day activity, “Sa loob ng tatlong araw pag-aaralan po natin ang ating mga tungkulin sa pagpapatupad ng JMC No. 2018-01 dated January 4, 2018, RA 11032, Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, and other related issuances”.
He also emphasized the role of the participants in terms of streamlining the process in securing building permits and certificate of occupancy in their respective LGUs to ensure that the people receive the quality service that they truly deserve minus the delays by the bureaucratic red tape. This is with the help and guidance of the partner agencies from the DPWH, DICT and DTI.

LGU Administrators, Building Officials, Representatives from the Zoning, Assessor and Treasurers Office, BPLS Focal Persons and Fire Marshalls from the Cities of Koronadal, Tacurong, Cotabato and Kidapawan were the participants of the 3-day activity.
