The proliferation of illegal drugs is a problem that has adversely affected the Philippine society today is considered as one of the major obstacles to the country’s economic growth and social progress. It is imperative that the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), along with partner national agencies, intensify their efforts to fight illegal drugs.

The DILG 12 through the LGCDD spearheaded the 2-day Focal Person’s Meeting-Conference and Coaching on Streamlining Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy for LGUs Cum BPLS Automation/Computerization and BPLS User’s Training last April 23-24, 2019 @ the 88 Hotel, Koronadal City. The participants contributed gainful insights which resulted to the attainment of the activity’s goal in the finalization of the target LGUs for CY 2019 deliverables and identification of different strategies inorder to effectively implement the PPAs under the DILG’s outcome area 5: Improving LGU’s Competitiveness and the Ease of Doing Business.

Koronadal City - DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO V, expressed her appreciation for the attendees who showed up in large number to join the two-day ‘Training-cum-Orientation on the Barangay Drug-Clearing Program and BADAC Functionality Indicators’ held on April 29- 30 in the City of Koronadal.

As part of the DILG XII’s commitment to foster personnel development and growth by strengthening professionalism and continual learning, a Refresher course for drivers on various topics like Traffic Rules and Regulations, Handling of VIPs, Ethical Standards, Social Graces and ISO Reporting was conducted last April 16-17, 2019 at the Punta Isla Lake Resort in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

The Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) program is an incentive fund to LGUs which comes in the form of financial subsidy for Local Development Projects which are in the Annual Investment Program (AIP) or Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) of LGUs and consistent with national goals and priorities. The PCF aims to incentivize and recognize good governance performance, particularly in the areas of transparency, accountability, participation and service delivery. The Program is intended to sustain governance reforms for the delivery of basic services.
