The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) and in coordination with the DILG Province of Sarangani and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII, conducted the Capacity Building for the Local Government Units of Sarangani Province and General Santos City on CBMS Module III-B: Utilizing CBMS Data for Local Planning and Budgeting from April 13 to 15, 2026 at the East Asia Royale Hotel, General Santos City.

The activity was graced by Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESO III, DILG XII Regional Director, who was represented by Director Rilimin H. Sandoval, DILG Provincial Director of Sarangani Province, delivered the opening and welcome message. Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, CESO V, PSA XII Regional Director, was represented by Wilmer S. Bacera, Senior Statistical Specialist, for the message of support.

This was attended by the Provincial and City/Municipal Planning and Development Officers/Coordinators, Provincial and City/Municipal CDP Focal Persons, Provincial and City/Municipal CBMS Focal Persons, and concerned DILG and PSA XII personnel.

LGOO II Harriet S. Destacamento, DILG Provincial CBMS and CDP Alternate Focal Person, introduced the Training Team and facilitated expectation-setting.

LGOO VII/Outcome Manager Annalyn S. Doceo presented the Rationale of the Activity, emphasizing its objectives: to capacitate local government unit (LGU) focal persons in utilizing CBMS data for local governance processes and GEDSI initiatives, and to assist LGUs in integrating and using CBMS data in local governance.

Limao of the Local Government Capability Development Division DILG Regional Office XII served as the Resource Persons in the said Capacity Building activity.

The three-day Capacity Building for the Local Government Units of Sarangani Province and General Santos City on CBMS Module III-B: Utilizing CBMS Data for Local Planning and Budgeting concluded with the awarding of certificates of completion and recognition to top-performing LGU participants with high scores in their written assessment.
