Cotabato Provincial Government Strengthens Its Disaster Preparedness
The provincial government of Cotabato, through the leadership of Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza was able to purchase various sophisticated disaster preparedness equipment out of the CY 2011 Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund amounting to P12 Million.
The equipment purchased were: (1) Complete Vehicular Extrication Equipment, a hydraulic metal cutter/spreader with hydraulic jack and complete accessories, portable acetylene and oxygen welding set with gauge and towing bar;

DILG 12 Hosts 47th Batch LGOO Induction Training
DILG Region 12 is currently hosting the 47th Batch Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) Training. The said activity formally started last April 22, 2012 at the Durian Farm, Polomolok, South Cotabato with forty three (43) trainees coming from Regions 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), 11 (Southern Mindanao), 12 (SOCCSKSARGEN) and Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
DILG Region 12 Assistant Regional Director Reynaldo M. Bungubung welcomed the trainees and guests and expressed his well wishes and support to the success of all the trainees.

DILG 12 Conducts RMCC 12 Special Meeting on Mainstreaming of Disaster Preparedness
DILG 12 Regional Director Buagas B. Sulaik led the Regional Management Coordinating Committee (RMCC) 12 Special Meeting on April 24, 2012 at the DILG 12 Conference Room, Koronadal City.
The special meeting tackled the Mainstreaming of Disaster Preparedness in Region 12. RD Sulaik said that “the activity is a response to Secretary Jesse M. Robredo’s call to strengthen the Disaster Risk Reduction Management in the Region.”
